Build an accuracy check into your pre-shot routine. For better accuracy, you should narrow your focus and put premium on landing where you want to be. Stand behind your ball on the tee and sight down your line and pick out an imaginary ten-yard square landing zone for your drive. Trace the line from the square back to your ball and pick out a little spot one yard in front of you as an interim target. Line the club face up with the interim target and set your eyes on that landing zone one last time before starting your swing. You will hit the fairway more often by keeping this focus.
