Golf Tip Of The Week

Golf Tip Of The Week

When you need to hit a chip shot and the hole is near you, the ball will need to fly a short distance and then stop quickly. While this may be a little difficult to learn, you can master it with practice. Play the ball in the middle of your stance, with your weight on your front foot. Open the face of your sand wedge and swing back just below waist high. Let the club swing back and through smoothly and bounce off the turf after striking the ball. Finish the shot with the club head again at waist high. The ball should fly low and spin so that it stops very quickly.
